Socks, Socks, Socks

This certainly is the Year of the Sock for me!

The sock wife is ready for a heel flap, she had one on Sunday but after laying husband and wife side by side I realised that the sock wife was too tall & if her husband is anything like mine, that will never do. So I referred to the frog prince and I'm happy to say she is now of acceptable height.

I've been toying with the idea of making some self striping yarns for a while now and over the weekend I made my first attempt.

Elizabeth 100% Superwash Merino - 4ply in Maple

The process is a bit more fiddly, so I am wondering, would you like to see the choice of either variegated or self striping yarns or just one or the other & which one would you prefer?
Comments:
You are steaming along with the Bride and Groom socks, as they ar now officially known!!!, I have no opinion on sock wool striping or variegation, I love both. One day, somewhere in the distant future, I hope to dye!!!
Oh, and there are big long cycle races here soon, 100 km I think. A mere walk in the park for some!!!

Oooh I am working on varigated socks at the moment out of yarn I dyed. I prefre varigated from private little sales (like yours) I mean a lot of bg businesses do the self striping.

Plus I have never knitted self striping socks yet! lol I have the yarn..Just have to do it.

LOVE the new colour!! Might have to look into some of that soon (once I have paid off the huge lot of sock yarn I am getting from Sockmonster within the month...ooops)...
