I FINISHED SOMETHING ....

A couple of socks to be precise.

Ok so you want to know all the gory details ...

Pattern: Socks with Jo-Jo Heel from Lana Grossa
Yarn: Patons Patonyle in Navy Blue
Needles: 2.75mm
Started: Some time in June 2005
Finished: 20th November 2005

I made a few modifications to the pattern in that I couldn't quite decifer the instructions for the heel so I did the hourglass heel as detailed in The Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook. I also changed the toe a bit by only decreasing until 12 sts remained then doing a 3 needle bind off.
J has already given them a test run & they have received the offical seal of approval.

I came across this in the last week showing how to do two socks at once, one inside the other & I'm keen to give it a go. I gave it a bit of a test run last night with some success but I need to work on the whole holding the yarn in my left hand thing, it just doesn't feel comfortable and my tension is well... let's just say it's not tense. There is another option, where you just slip every second stitch but I like to make things difficult for myself so I might perservere with the first option for a while longer.
Comments:
Socks look good. Man I gotta get back into doing socks. And get a pair for myself done.

I cant get that link to work to look at those socks inside socks.

Great sock! Cool heel! Out of your funk well and truly! I think, for me, knitting 2 socks at once can only be a fantasy. Too many balls of wool and using your left hand??!!!
I do want to see pictures of you doing it though. I will just plod along, doing one sock at a time!
Love,
Your Secret Pal
